Jack Gregory Vineyard, 74, of Ennis, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday June 5, 2026.

Greg was born July 31, 1951, to Jack and Valeta Vineyard in Sherman, Texas. His family moved to Ennis when Greg was in first grade and attended Austin Elementary. He graduated from Ennis High School in1970. He worked along with his family at Vineyard's Auto Parts Store and Machine Shop. On August 11, 1984, he married the love of his life, Linda Torres. He and Linda had two children, son David Alan and daughter Tracy Jeannette.

Greg was very active in his community. He served on the Ennis Jaycees for many years, played Men's Baseball, served on the Ennis Parks Board and served every office position numerous times. He recently relinquished his presidency but still served in the organization that he loved. Before his death he was President of the Ennis Lions Club, Chairman of the Ennis Housing Authority, volunteered feeding the homeless on Ennis CARES, and Love Your Neighbor Ellis County. At First Methodist Church, he held various positions over the years and was currently on the Finance Committee, the Missions Committee, prepared Breakfast once a month for the Methodist Men, prepared coffee and brought donuts every Sunday since before Covid. For the last 18 years he and his wife have organized the Annual Community Thanksgiving Meal on Thanksgiving Day, serving 300 or more every year at First Methodist Church.

Greg is survived by his wife Linda, their son David Vineyard, their daughter Tracy, husband John Krantz, and grandson Ezra. Also, by his brother Brent Vineyard, wife Norma, sister Karla Jernigan, sister Dana, husband Rod Cordsen, his father-in-law Ernesto Torres, sister-in-law Noemi, husband Benny Plata, brother-in-law Jessie Torres, wife Patti, and brother-in-law Ernest Torres, wife Karryn. Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death are his parents Jack and Valeta Vineyard, his mother-in-law Angelita Torres and his sister-in-law Gloria Torres.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 11 a.m. in the First Methodist Church of Ennis.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to First Methodist Church of Ennis.
