Mr. James "Jim" Wesley Jones, of Ennis, Texas, died on September 9, 2020, at the age of 61.

Jim was born on November 19, 1958 in Peru, Indiana, to James Ray and Della Jones. Jim spent most of his childhood in Stow, Ohio.  He graduated from Stow High School in 1977.  In 1978 he married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Canavan of Stow.  Jim and Ruth were married for 41 years, and have two children, Carly and Alex, of whom he was extremely proud.  Jim worked for Sherwin Williams in Bedford Heights, Ohio.  In 1998 Jim accepted a transfer to Ennis, Texas, and continued working for Sherwin Williams until his retirement.  In 2008, Jim and Ruth welcomed their first grandchild.  Three more grandchildren have followed.

Jim enjoyed tinkering with his remote-control cars, riding his motorcycle, and supporting Texas Rangers baseball.  The Cleveland Browns remained his favorite football team.  He proudly wore Texas A&M gear in support of his Aggie daughter.

Jim is survived by Ruth, wife of 41 years; children, Carly (Robert) Lyons and Alex Jones; grandchildren, Alexa Jones, Elijah Jones, Graham Lyons, and Evelyn Lyons; father, James Jones; siblings Richard Cook, Louann Townsend (Roy), Michael Cook (Lauri), Bonnie Cook, and Perry Jones.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Della and brother, David Baisden

The family will be holding a private memorial.  The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
