James "Red" Sanders, 80, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 in Ennis, Texas

Red was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on January 2, 1941 to Raymond Earl and Lois Anne (Adams) Sanders.  He grew up in Cheyenne and graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1959.  Red received an associate's degree in Agriculture and Business from Navarro College and also a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Prescott College.  On September 3, 1960 he married his sweetheart Judy Kendall.  After their marriage they lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming; Corsicana, Texas; Sheridan, Wyoming and Ennis, Texas.

Red was a multitalented person.  He worked in many fields, working at Owens-Corning, B. J. Hart Plumbing, SPRR as a clerk, J. N "Red" Sanders Plumbing, Ennis Police Department, Sheriff Department in Sheridan, WY, Ennis Police Department retiring as Chief and Red Sanders Barber Shop.  Red was a member of the Midlothian Church of Christ and IOOF of Ennis.

Red leaves behind his loving family including his wife of over sixty years, Judy Sanders; daughters: Pamela Bruce, Aimee Sanders and Shawn Berry and husband, Steve; grandchildren: Ryan Bruce, Cody Bruce, Jessica Trueblood, Nathan Pendolino, Emily Vale, Samatha Goodloe, Noah Berry, Jonah Berry and Oliver Berry; great-grandchildren: Kayla Trueblood and Augusta Bruce along with a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jerry Sanders and granddaughter Alexandria Goodloe.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Church of Christ on Country Club Road of Ennis.
