Jan Ellen Wilkinson of Ennis, Texas, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Born to William I. Rabe Jr. and Lurline Rabe, Jan built a life defined by devotion—to her family, her community, and especially her grandchildren.

Jan graduated from Ennis High School, Class of 1964, and later attended Navarro College. She spent many years serving others through her work, including 15 years as a customer service representative with Ennis Business Forms, Denny Business Forms, Multi-Forms, and Rainbow Business Forms, followed by another 15 years with McCrary Insurance Company. She was a past president of the Kiwanis Club and served her community for 25 years as a volunteer firefighter with the Garrett Volunteer Fire Department and Ennis Fire Department. Her career in public service concluded with the City of Ennis, where she worked as a Public Safety Telecommunicator (dispatcher).

In 2011, Jan retired—not to slow down, but to dedicate herself fully to what she called the most important role of her life: being "Nana" to her grandchildren.

Nothing brought Jan greater joy than her grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with Kaitlyn Rolland, Abygail Rolland, Trey Wilkinson, and Hayden Wilkinson—whether caring for them, cheering them on, or simply enjoying time together. Her days were happiest when they were nearby, and her love for them was fierce, joyful, and unconditional.

Jan is survived by her husband, Robert Wilkinson; her daughter, Carla Rolland, and husband Joel Rolland; her son, Lance Wilkinson, and wife Jennifer Wilkinson; and her beloved grandchildren.

In her free time, Jan loved camping, fishing, ATV riding, and tending to her livestock—but she loved those moments most when they were shared with family and friends.

Jan Ellen Wilkinson will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and a woman whose heart was always open to those she loved.

Celebration of Jan's life will be held Friday, February 13, 2026 with VISITATION from Noon until 2 p.m. in the J. E. Keever Mortuary Chapel, Ennis. GRAVESIDE SERVICE will take place at 2 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery, under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. Pallbearers: Lance Wilkinson, Trey Wilkinson, Hayden Wilkinson, Joel Rolland, Alex Zurfas, and Jeff Aaron.
