Jane Bell Smith, 88, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 in Dallas, Texas.

Jane was born in Rice, Texas on August 7, 1932 to Ward H. and Fannie K. (Wright) Bell.  Jane graduated from Ennis High School in 1949 she was Salutatorian of her Class at 16 years old.  On December 12, 1953 Jane married the love of her life Clayton Choice Smith and they made their home in Dallas.

Jane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed genealogy, knitting, cooking, Bible Study and travel.  She was a devoted grandmother and was active in church.

Jane is survived by her husband of over sixty-six years, Clayton Choice Smith; son, Gregory Choice Smith and wife, Elizabeth Anne Smith; daughter, Nancy Jane Baker and husband, Robert; grandchildren: Clay Smith and wife, Allison, Kyle Smith, Lindsey McMullen and husband Brent, and Will Baker; great-grandchildren: Sanders Smith and Champ McMullen; sister, Peggy Genthner along with a multitude of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Fannie Kate Wright and father, Ward H. Bell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 beginning at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the Terrell Bible Church, 801 Johnson Street, Terrell, Texas.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the Terrell Bible Church with Drake Torp-Pederson officiating.  Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
