Jarvis Ray Wilkerson was born November 11, 1962 on Veteran's Day to Sidney Ray and Clara Rita Durbin Wilkerson in Dallas, TX at Baylor hospital. He passed to his eternal home at US Veteran Hospital in Dallas, TX on Sunday, May 30. Jarvis was raised in the St. John Catholic church often serving as alter boy. He moved to Floresville with his Aunt Sister Mary Sylvan and lived with the priest. His job was to keep the baseball field ready to play for the school. Jarvis moved to Andrews, TX, when he was about 12, before returning to Ennis to graduate from St. John's High School class of 1981. He got his first job at the Ennis Daily News throwing papers. Always sure to give his paycheck to his mother to help make ends meet. He graduated early and enlisted in the US Army to serve our nation. Jarvis was born to be a soldier. He served in the Germany. Jarvis met his army brother Miles Dennard in OK and they lived their Army life together as brothers. Often boring him with stories of Coleta Frazier. In 1985 Jarvis became a father to Wendy Lynn. During his time in the US Army he married Diana Williams, and they adopted 2 sons, Logan and Travis. After his End Tour of duty he opened Advanced Termite and Pest Control. He volunteered for the Noonday, TX Fire Department from 2005-2008, receiving Rookie of the Year his first year.

He is survived by his middle school sweetheart Coleta Wilkerson whom he married March 11, 2017, his daughter Wendy, son in law Richard Vogel, Logan Wilkerson, & Travis Wilkerson, grandson Alexander Vogel. He is survived by his sister Marita Giles and brother in Law Dr. Russell Giles, 2 nephews Daniel (Emma) and Andrew Giles, niece Natalie Giles and great niece Lucy Giles. He is also survived by the mothers of his children Mary Jordan and Dianna Williams Wilkerson. His US Army brother Miles Dennard and his US Army Service cat, Callie. He is survived by Coleta's son, Michael Grubbs, II,(Shannon and step-grandson Houston Bogan and Coleta's siblings. Anna Wilson, Carolyn Smith, Carrell & Sandra Frazier, Jr. Marie Frazier, Robert Jeanette Sterling and Mary Ann & Chris Mezzapelle.

He is predeceased by his parents, special Aunt Anna Galetka.

Jarvis enjoyed music especially Pink Floyd, fishing, NASCAR, SCUBA Diving, and playing scrabble with a special aunt Anna Galetka.

Visitation will be June 7, 2021 @ 6:00 p.m. followed by Rosary @ 7:30 held at Keever's Chapel in Ennis, TX. 408 N. Dallas St Ennis, TX. Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. led by Ftr Jason Van Borssum.
