Jeaneta Elizabeth (Isom) Morris, 92, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jeaneta was born January 20, 1929 to Moley D. "Pete" Isom and Zula Elizabeth (Matthews) Isom. She was born, reared in Telico, Texas and graduated from Ennis High School in 1946. After graduation, she moved to Dallas and attended business college.

On June 20, 1947 she married her sweetheart Billy Joe "Chuck" Morris. They lived in Dallas until June 1976 when they moved back to Telico. They built and moved to their new home in 1978. They were happily married for 33 years before Chuck passed away in 1980. They were devoted to the Lord, their marriage, family and work on their farm.

Jeaneta worked for Dun & Bradstreet for 35 years, retiring in May 1987. She then attended Navarro College. She participated in the restoration of the Telico Historical Church and then served multiple terms for Secretary and Treasurer there once it began Sunday Services. Jeaneta also served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Telico Volunteer Fire Department for many terms. Jeaneta also did bookkeeping at Fulton Automotive for a few years, purchased and restored the historical McCanless-Williams House in Ennis and had many remodeling projects, including three family homes. She volunteered at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Waxahachie, Texas for a few years, gaining knowledge and support in management of the family farm. She was a caregiver for her daughter, Theresa Henry after a stroke left her disabled for several years.

Jeaneta was a member of the Telico Church. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed visiting and talking on the phone with friends and family. She cherished the time she spent with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, teaching them about the past, reading and enjoying outdoor activities. She enjoyed collecting old bottles she would find, checking on the cattle, working on the farm and cleaning up wherever she went. Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of friends and family with which she interacted.

She is survived by her two children, Patricia "Patty" Langer and husband Eddie Langer and Billy Joe "Joey" Morris and wife Tammy of Ennis. She is survived by 3 grandchildren: Chris Henry, Brent Bratcher, and Jessica Sturgeon of Ennis; two step grandchildren Tina Torrez of California and Terry Dowd of Ennis; four great grandchildren: Andrew Bratcher, Nathan Bratcher, Hunter Sturgeon and Hartley Sturgeon of Ennis; two step great grandchildren Andrew Torrez of California and Anthony Torrez of Ennis. Several nieces and nephews survive her.

Jeaneta is preceded in death by her parents, Moley D. "Pete" and Zula Isom, her husband Billy Joe "Chuck" Morris, her daughter, Theresa Elizabeth (Morris) Henry, and all 7 of her siblings: Billie Isom, Cecil Isom, Forrest Isom, George Wade "Buck" Isom, Wilton "Bubba" Isom, Mazel Fulton and Edna Newman.

Family, friends and others whose lives Jeaneta touched are invited to J.E. Keever Mortuary for visitation on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 6-8pm and Memorial Service, Saturday, November 13 at 10am. for a celebration on her life.
