Jennie Maxine Clemett , 70, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.

Jennie was born at Millington Marine Corps Air Base in Memphis, Tennessee, on November 13, 1952, to Lt. Col. E.J. and Lonnie Maxine ( Mullican ) Robinson. Jennie graduated from W.T. White High School in Dallas in 1970. She went on to the University of Houston to receive a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandizing.

She later earned a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from Texas Women's University.

In 1977 she married Frederick Eugene Clemett . Jennie and Fred lived in New York City and then moved to Coppell in 1979.

After college Jennie worked for Sakowitz in Houston in fashion for five years, then for Delta Airlines for five years as an agent, After her marriage she worked with Fred Clemett & Associates and later  devoted many years to Coppell School District as a Speech Language pathologist. She retired from Coppell ISD in 2020. Jennie loved and enjoyed her family, her beloved pets, enjoyed gardening, reading and traveling.

Jennie is survived by her ex-husband, Fredrick Clemett ; daughters: Alanna Clemett and Ashley Cappelli; grandchildren: Chance and Liv; brother, Eugene Robinson; sister, V onne Battistini ; niece, Tianna Battistini, and a host of other family and friends.

Jennie is preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Jocque Cappelli.

Private graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 30 at noon at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Jennie's name to the American Cancer Society .
