Jeremy Wayne Puckett, 39, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, October 30, 2020 in Ennis, Texas.

Jeremy was born in Ennis, Texas on September 17, 1981 to David and Sandra (Santos) Puckett.  Jeremy grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 2000.  He went on to attend Navarro Fire Academy.  Jeremy and Jessica were together for twelve years before they were married on February 29, 2020 when he married the love of his life Jessica Budai and they made their home in Ennis.

Jeremy worked for the Ellis County Sheriff Department for fifteen years as a transport officer.  He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.  Jeremy enjoyed restoring cars, music and food.  Spending time with family was always his favorite thing to do especially time spent with his daughter.

Jeremy is survived by his wife, Jessica Puckett; son, Bryson Wayne Warren; daughter, Abigail Grace Puckett; parents: David and Sandra Puckett; brother, Daniel Puckett and wife, Lindsey; nieces: Alexys and Taylor and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father John Dick as Celebrant.  Pallbearers will be Jarod Krajca, Jason Henshaw, Neil Moore, Chaz Kudrna, Chad Percival and Bryan Anthony.  Honorary pallberers will be James Arington, Wayne Whaley, Kurt Williams and Nick Spurgeon.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
