Jesus Michael Navaira "J. Michael" went home to our Lord on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 after a valiant battle with Covid. He was 74 years old.

J. Michael was born in San Antonio, TX on October 29,1946. He joined the United States Air Force where he served state side as well as in Japan and Guam. He married Jolean Yates on December 20,1974. Together they raised two children, Dennis & Brooke.

He worked for General Dynamics (later becoming Lockheed Martin) for 33 years in Procurement & Quality and loved what he did for a living. He retired in 2012, but then continued to work for Pride Plating in Grove, Oklahoma as well as doing contract work for Lockheed Martin later on.

He loved traveling, Elvis, sports, movies, and collectibles, but above all else he valued & loved his family and his faith in Jesus Christ. Once someone became a friend to J. Michael, they were family. He was one of the most generous and loving people anyone could ever hope to meet, and he will be deeply & forever missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Navaira and Evelyn Longoria.

He is survived by his daughter Brooke Sereika, her husband Scott Sereika, Granddaughter Rylee Jo Burton and Grandson Rhett Burton all of Ennis, TX,  son Dennis Layne of Ennis, TX, Grandsons Nathan and Aaron Layne and Granddaughter Kaylyn Layne, and Jolean Navaira, as well as numerous loved nephews and nieces, maternal cousin Mickey Killian of San Antonio, TX,  Shelly & Rick Sanchez and sons Zachary and Hunter Sanchez of Mansfield TX, and Timothy Schwagart of Grand Prairie, TX.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church , 1200 Country Club Road, Ennis, with Pastor Todd Gray officiating, under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. Interment will be in DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
