Jimmy Dale Cummings, 79, passed away in Dallas, Texas, on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Jimmy was born in Dallas, Texas, on January 29, 1946, to Roy C. and Pearl Irene (Williams) Cummings. Jimmy was married to the love of his life, Linda Sue Weatherly for fifty-nine years.

Jimmy was a Master Mason and 32nd degree Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Chambers Creek #499 and Ennis 369 Lodges. Jimmy enjoyed hunting trips with his brothers as well as fishing with his dad. Jimmy loved spending time with family, especially the grands and greats as they all were the light of his eye.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Linda Cummings; children: Stacey Klever, Jimmy Cummings, Jr. and wife, Lisa, Pamela Gilliard and husband, Steve, and Angela Spaniel and husband, Scott; grandchildren: Emily Harkey and husband, Jeff, Dakota Gillard, Leanna Gilliard, Ella Dziuk and husband, Kamden, Zachary Spaniel and wife, Celina, Ava Cummings and Joshua Spaniel; great grandchildren; Hudson, JoLynn and Bellamy; a brother, James Cummings and a host of extended family and friends.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from noon until 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Roger Reston officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Gilliard, Scott Spaniel, Zachary Spaniel, Joshua Spaniel, Jeff Harkey and
Dakota Gilliard. Honorary pallbearers will be Kamden Dziuk and Hudson Harkey.  Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
