Jimmy Chris Ritchey of Ferris, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2025, at age 63.

Jimmy was born to parents Robert Washington and Joyce Marie Ritchey of Ferris, Texas on December 29,1961.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 27 years Theresa Ann Ritchey. Their three children, Nicole Ann Green and her husband, Ryan Green, of Ferris, Texas; daughter Jimmie Christine Gonzales of Ferris, Texas, and son Richard Lance Boone of Indiana, Pennsylvania. Brother Joe Ritchey and sister-in-law Edith Ritchey of Ferris, TX; Sister Pamela Bahr and brother-in-law Mike Bahr of Kaufman Texas and brother Robert Ritchey and sister-in-law Jennifer Ritchey of Ferris, Texas. Grandchildren Reyanna Cervantes, Sergio Gonzales Jr, Aleyson Green, Sirena Cervantes, Alex Gonzales, Ryan Green Jr., Gemma Gonzales, Thailee Cervantes, and Rylee Green. He also has numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Robert Washington Ritchey Jr., and his mother, Joyce Marie Ritchey of Ferris, Texas. Grandparents Robert W. Ritchey Sr. and Sarah Della Dobbs Ritchey of Ennis, Texas. Grandparents Ervin Lee Wickliffe and Berti May Johnson Wickliffe of Ferris, Texas.

Jimmy attended high school in Ferris, Texas. He went on to work as a heavy machine operator for many years at Gifford Hill, Waste Management, and B&P. Jimmy was a hard worker; most days, he worked from sunup to sundown to provide for his family.

Jimmy loved his wife, kids, grandkids, family, and friends. He believed family was the most important part of his life. He loved to tease everyone and tell stories, some made up and some true. He also loved to go on and on about what he thought you needed to do or be doing in your life and he sure did not mind repeating himself until he knew you understood. Jimmy loved to restore his old cars, hunting, fishing, and camping. Lots of memories were made doing what he loved with his family and friends.

Visitation will be held for Jimmy at J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. in Ennis, Texas Monday, February 17, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 10 am. in the Keever Chapel in Ennis.

Graveside and interment will be in Bristol Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. We will have a luncheon to immediately follow at Bristol School House.

Dad, you will be missed every single day of our life. You were our guy. You spoke to most of us pretty much every day. Things will be different without you. We will take care of Tess, not only because we love her but because we know she is your world. We will get up every day and face the world because we know you always have our back and taught us everything, we needed to know to navigate life. We will always remember you telling us, "everything is gonna happen the way it's supposed to, you just cannot rush it. Be patient." Thank you, Dad, for being an example of what a husband, father, brother, son, and friend should be." Love ya, and we will see y'all over there, as you would say."
