Jo Anna Dodson, 78, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

Jo Anna was born in Corsicana, Texas, on July 23, 1943, to Leonard and Ruby (Gardner) Perkins.  She grew up in Dawson and attended school there.  In 1971 she married Hiram Dodson and they made their home in Telico.

Jo Anna worked as a cashier and assistant manager for Davis and Wester Convenience Store in Ennis.  She loved reading.

Jo Anna is survived by her family including sons: Johnny Steel and Joe Dodson and his wife, Ronda; daughters: Venisia Arthur and her husband, Jeff  and Teresa York and husband, Alan; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Perkins; sister: Hazel Justice and husband, Larry along with a host of extended family and friends.

Jo Anna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Ronnie Perkins and sister, Evelyn McCullough.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the Telico Cemetery with Rev. Matt Walker officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
