Joe Frederick Smith, 71, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, in Mansfield, Texas.

Joe was born in Ennis, Texas on February 27, 1951, to Lawrence and Wanda (Wilhoite) Smith. Joe grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1969.

Joe was a member of the Church of Christ in Bardwell and was a Scout Master for Troop #203. Joe enjoyed bowling and football.  His family was the joy of his life.

Joe is survived by a son, Jacob Smith and wife, Megan; daughter, Josie Mueller and husband, David; grandson, Rhett N. Smith and sister, Lois Hughes.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents and son John Smith.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
