John P. Gulledge, 49, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, in Ennis, Texas. John was best known for his great sense of humor and his loving and generous heart.

John was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 15, 1974, to Joe M. and Flip (Green) Gulledge. John grew up in Bristol and graduated from Ennis High School in 1992. John was a lifetime resident of Bristol; Texas and he loved his home in the country.

In his younger years John served his community as a volunteer fireman for the Bristol Fire Department. He later became an electrician and excelled as a journeyman, for many years. John was a member of Bristol Baptist Church. He loved his family and loved cooking, fishing and most of all making people laugh.

John is survived by sons: Jordan T. Gulledge and wife, Alysha and Joseph B. Gulledge; grandchildren: Ashlyn and Jace; parents: Joe M. and Flip Gulledge along with a host of extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
