Johnny "PaPaw" Bilyeu, 71, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 in Ennis, Texas.

Johnny was born on February 22, 1953 to John Bilyeu and Melba (Rosser) Bilyeu in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Dallas and graduated from H. Grady Spruce in 1969. He then married Sabrina McElyea on November 15, 1985 and they made their home in Ennis Texas.

He worked in the scrap metal business for several years. Then later in life became a truck driver who ended his working career at Muirhead Trucking as a Logistics coordinator.

He survived by his wife, Sabrina Bilyeu, sister Connie Smith and husband Jimmy Smith, and brother Don Bilyeu ; sons, Ronnie Driggers, William McElyea and wife Tisha McElyea, John Ed. Bilyeu and wife Ashley; daughters, Tanya McElyea and husband Brandon Mills, Krystal Weathers and husband Rodney Weathers, and Priscilla Bilyeu; grandchildren: Kenley McElyea, Shyla Mills, Briana and Kaden Weathers, Jerry, Cash, John Ed Jr., and Jethro Bilyeu, as well as 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Melba Rosser, his father John (Popsie) Bilyeu, brother Ronnie Bilyeu, and grandson Jaxon Bilyeu.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jun 21, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Graveside Service and Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, inc.
