Josephine Vrzalik, 84, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Monday, October 21, 2024.

Josephine was born in Corsicana, Texas, on September 27, 1940, to Willie D. and Cleo (Jackson) Gunn. She grew up in Richland, Texas, and graduated from Richland High School in 1957. Josephine married Charlie J. Vrzalik on June 7, 1958, and they made their home in Ennis.

Josephine worked for Ennis Business Forms and for Baylor Hospital for over twenty-five years as a material manager. Josephine was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and KJZT. She loved spending time with family and enjoyed ceramics and flower gardening.

Josephine is survived by her husband of over sixty-six years, Charlie J. Vrzalik; daughter, Donna Stagner and husband, Randy; grandchild, Justin Cole Dodson and spouse, Korey; grandchildren: Bentley and Aston; brothers: John Gunn and Edgar D. Gunn along with a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father Agustn Fuertes as celebrant. Interment will follow in Crisp Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
