Judge Donald Wishon, 83, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Ennis, Texas, gaining his "Angel Wings" celebrating his birthday with Jesus and his Mom and Dad.

Don was born on July 9, 1940, to James and Rachel (Fowler) Wishon in Bristol, Texas. He grew up in Bristol, Texas and graduated from Palmer High School.

Don worked for Tony Maples Chevrolet for some time and for Sears for over eighteen years before retiring. Don was a member of the Bristol Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge #369. Don was known as "a good man with a big heart". He loved the outdoors country living, hunting, fishing, get togethers on his family place with the "Bristol Bunch", gatherings with friends on late Friday afternoons at the local body shop, trips to Madagoia Bay, riding his Harley Davidson and always enjoyed a "good meal" especially fried fish. He was mostly known for his family recipe of homemade eggnog at Christmas. Don had a loved for VW's and old antique cars.

He will be dearly missed by his close friends and his community of Bristol which he loved.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Bristol Cemetery with Rev. James Patterson officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
