Justin Dwayne Blanton, 46, of Ennis, Texas, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy rich in creativity, music, and heartfelt expression.

A gifted singer-songwriter and guitarist, Justin had a rare and beautiful ability to connect with others through his music. His lyrics spoke with honesty and soul, and his melodies continue to echo in the hearts of those who heard them. In addition to his musical talents, Justin was a skilled visual artist whose drawings captured his vivid imagination and had a unique way of transporting viewers – along with himself – back to distant memories and times long past.

He is remembered by his treasured daughters, Gia Clasen, Hannah Blanton, & Emily Blanton; his parents, Jim Monnat and Jeannette Blanton-Monnat; and his sisters, Renee Porter & Rachel Snow.

He also leaves behind his beloved grandparents, Harry & Wanda Fincher; aunts, Sherry Webster & Stacie Powdermaker; and his cousins Amanda Hanna, Anique Fincher, Jacobi Fincher, Darian Clarkson, and Skylar Powdermaker.

Justin was preceded in death by his uncle, Harry Dodge Fincher; his aunt, Denise Fincher; and his cousins, Lee Fincher and Stoney Powdermaker. Many more dear family members & friends will carry his memory forward with love.

Justin's legacy lives on through the songs he wrote, the art he created, and the countless lives he touched. In his honor, his family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate his life in the way he lived his; through music, art, love, and imagination.

A Celebration of Justin's Life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 2 p.m. in the J. E. Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis.
