Kathy Dianne Cikanek , 74, of Ennis, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Kathy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronnie Cikanek; her parents, George and Thelma Lou Rudolf; and her precious yellow lab, Sam.

She is survived by her daughters, Linsey Cikanek and Casey Cikanek Davis, and husband Jake; her cherished grandchildren, Calan Davis and Finley Lou Davis, who lovingly called her "Honey"; her honorary son, Kris Brock; her Uncle and Aunt, Bill and Bobbie Marcom; her cousins, Gail Lewis and Tammy Foster; and her beloved furbabies, Mac and Lucy.

Kathy devoted nearly 50 years to Ennis ISD, where she began her career as a teacher and faithfully served her community, rising to the role of assistant superintendent. She was a passionate advocate for children and dedicated her life to serving tens of thousands of families in Ennis ISD, as well as supporting and mentoring countless educators. Her impact on the community will be felt for generations.

She was an active member of the Ennis Noon Lions Club and proudly served as a past president. Kathy was known as a true spitfire, always smiling, deeply honest whether the truth was easy or hard, and full of life. She had a love for all sports, especially cheering on OU football and Ennis Lions athletics. She lovingly referred to Toby Keith as "her main man." She found joy in the simple things: riding her John Deere mower, gardening and planting flowers, reading, and spending time with family in Destin, Florida.

Above all, Kathy's greatest love was her family, especially her grandbabies, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

VISITATION : Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at J. E. Keever Mortuary, 408 N. Dallas Street, Ennis, Texas.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE service: Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 10 a.m. at the Avenue Church, 2300 W. Ennis Avenue, Ennis.

Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

Pallbearers will be: Matt Cochran, Darrell Patak, Kris Brock, Jake Davis, Mark Davis and Wade Bishop.
