Kenneth Doyle Spicer, 75, passed away in Ennis, Texas, on Friday, November 1, 2024.

Kenneth was born on October 3, 1949, in Blooming Grove, Texas, to J.W. and Dorothy Arlea (Garrison) Spicer. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1968.

Kenneth was an engineer for Ericsson ten years, for Northern Telecommunications for ten years and the owner of The Red Moon Tavern.

In his free time Kenneth enjoyed racing Volkswagens and loved any kind of old car. Kenneth was very handy and enjoyed collecting things and making something new out of someone else's junk.

Kenneth is survived by sons: Nick Lange and wife, Jamie, John Spicer and wife, Morgan, Michael Vasquez and wife, RaeAnn, Chris Vasquez and wife, Susan; daughters: Dana Horne and husband, Dhanald, Jennifer Haden and husband, Eddie, Mickey McIntosh and husband, Nick, Adrienne Mason and husband, Kevin and Jessica Vasquez; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren: brother, Douglas Spicer and wife, Anita; sister, Margaret Dunlap and husband, Ricky along with a host of extended family and friends.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dorothy Spicer, son Ronnie Spicer, brother, Jerry Spicer and many loved friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rev. Matt Walker officiating.
