"With heavy hearts we share with you the passing of LaDonna Kay Cook, 64, of Ennis TX. She passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 surrounded by her daughters at Baylor Scott and White Round Rock.

She was born on December 3, 1961 in Ennis Texas and is the daughter of Coy "Gene" Lynn and Carolyn Christine Huff. She was the youngest of three sisters, her elder twin sisters were Trisa and Lisa.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and previous husband Ronald Keith Cook, Jr. She and Ron were married for 13 years and were blessed with three daughters: Jennifer Lynn, Carolyn Kristen, and Allison Erin. They even opened their home to two foster daughters. She was also a devoted grandma to Celes Athena, Maverick Zane, and Layla Evangeline.

LaDonna worked with Compaq/HP for over twenty years as a corporate Procurement Manager where she made and kept many friendships throughout her life. As well as an avid hunter and fisher, LaDonna was also a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock show and Rodeo where she spent many hours volunteering on the grounds. She even spent several years fostering vulnerable dogs to prepare them for adoption. For approximately ten years she also owned and operated her own photography business, Priceless Memories, where she assisted many people in celebrating and capturing some of their most loving memories.

After retiring from HP and her photography business, she moved back to the Ennis area to tend to her ailing father and then her Aunt Doris until their passing.

LaDonna was also a plant-enthusiast, always enjoying being surrounded by her favorite color. She had a great passion for cooking meals for her friends and family, not even allowing her cancer diagnosis to prevent her from giving to those around her.

Despite her life's misfortunes, she remained an incredibly strong and capable woman. Her ability to overcome any obstacle was one of her greatest attributes.

May we celebrate the incredible legacy LaDonna leaves behind. Through her unwavering commitment to her family, friends, coworkers, and community, she made a lasting impact on the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. As we move forward, let us honor her memory by keeping her spirit alive in our actions and the choices we make each day. In doing so, we ensure that LaDonna's legacy will continue to inspire and uplift future generations."

GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 at 2 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
