Lavina Mary McFarland, 89, of Palmer passed away peacefully on Sunday October 5, 2025, surrounded by her family. Lavina was born in Canute, OK on April 10, 1936 to Edward and Josephine Grossman. Upon the death of her mother Lavina helped care for her six siblings on their family farm in New Castle. After marrying her husband of 29 years Grady McFarland in 1959, she became a homemaker and raised three children. After her husband's military service her and her family settled in Lohn, Tx. After the passing of her husband Lavina moved back to New Castle to be with her siblings, until 2016 when she moved in with her daughter in Palmer, Tx. Lavina enjoyed baking, tending to her garden, and spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be deeply missed by all.

Lavina is preceded in death by her parents, husband Grady McFarland, two sons Jimmy and Eddie and two sisters Cecilia Bateman and Irene Greeson. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Eubanks and husband Mike of Palmer, Tx, grandchildren: Hunter and Cody Eubanks of Palmer, Tx siblings; Helen McCracken, Virginia Magers, Leon Grossman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

GRAVESIDE Service will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Lohn Cemetery, Lohn, Texas under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
