Lee Mac Barron, 86, died peacefully on, Thursday, June 25, 2020 in Ennis, Texas.

He was born on December 9, 1933 to Hughey and Janie (McIntosh) Barron in Dallas               .

Lee graduated from Palmer High School in 1950. He then attended and graduated SMU with a Law Degree. While at SMU, he was a loyal member of Alpha Tau Omega.  He served in the United States Army Reserve.

After practicing law, he took over the family farming business in 1970. He was a lifelong resident of Palmer and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sister, Mary McBurnett and brother, Louis Barron.

In addition, survivors include niece Dorcas Lotspeich and  Brad, niece, Lisa Santiso and Maury Washington and nephew, Mark McBurnett and Darla Rickard. He also leaves behind eight great nieces and nephews and sixteen great-great nieces and nephews.

He was a gentle spirit that was loved and will be missed.

To keep our family and friends safe during these unusual times, J. E. Keever Mortuary in Palmer will be open from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2020 to allow friends and family to come as they wish to pay their respects to Lee Mac. Please sign the guest book or leave the family a note of sympathy.

A private graveside will be held Monday
