Leo L. Wachsmann, 89, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Friday, June 25, 2021.

Leo was born on November 5, 1931 in Bellmeade, Texas to Leopold Joseph and Ann Marie (Ahlbach) Wachsmann.  Leo grew up in Bellmeade and graduated from West High School in 1950.  On September 24, 1955 he married Margaret Skroh and they made their home in Ennis.  He served his country proudly in the United States Army as a Radio Tech.

Leo worked for General Motors as a supervisor for over thirty-five years.  He enjoyed working on small engines and repairing them.  Leo loved watching sports, old western movies and playing dominos.

Leo is survived by his loving wife of over sixty-five years, Margaret Wachsmann; sons: Kevin Wachsmann and wife Melinda and Neil Wachsmann; daughter, Cheri Pollard and husband, Kendal; nine grandchildren:fourteen great-grandchildren; three brothers: Pete Wachsmann, George Wachsmann and William Wachsmann and a multitude of extended family and friends.

Leo is preceded in death by his parents, son, Sammy Wachsmann; sisters: Anna, Margaret, Estelle and Hattie; brothers: Andrew and Joe and great-grandson, AidenPollard.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass of the Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis.  Pallbearers will be Nathan Wachsmann, Cody Pollard, Keith Pollard, Corey Pollard, Donnell Schafer and Todd Wachmann. Honorary pallbearer,Ted Meaders.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
