Linda Ray Connor, 75, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on November 24, 2023, after a blessedly wonderful Thanksgiving with her loved ones.

She was born on January 15, 1948, in Ennis, Texas, to the late Arlie and Juanita Ray. In her passing, she will be reunited with her parents, as well as her dear sister, Patricia Roberts, and her beloved dog, Ozzy. Linda was a woman of unwavering love and grace. She exemplified the virtues of kindness, thoughtfulness, and selflessness throughout her life. Her fierce spirit touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her son, daughter-in-law, two treasured grandchildren, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many beloved grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also deeply cherished by her past love and the current love of her life.

Educated at Ennis High School, Linda graduated with the Class of 1966, then pursued higher education at Texas Tech University. Linda dedicated over 35 years of her professional life to Rockwell-Collins, where she embarked on a remarkable journey from a data-entry typist to becoming the first female program manager in the division's history. Her exceptional leadership skills and unwavering work ethic earned her numerous accolades for program management excellence. Linda was admired and respected by her colleagues and customers alike.

Outside of her career, Linda found solace in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished spending quality time with her family and friends, sharing in their joys and offering unwavering support during challenging times. Linda's love for nature led her to take leisurely walks with her loyal canine companion, Ozzy. She was boundlessly positive and enthusiastic while cheering on her loved ones at their youth sporting events. Linda had a passion for travel, something she wished she could have enjoyed more, with Lake Tahoe holding a special place in her heart. She also remained a steadfast fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers, rooting for them with unwavering loyalty.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 at 2 PM at J.E. Keever Mortuary, 408 N. Dallas Street in Ennis, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society , the Gladney Center for Adoption (Nonprofit child adoption agency), or Take Me Home Pet Rescue .
