Linda Diane Cromer was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and daughter of Christ. She passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family at the age of 72.

Linda was born on September 15, 1950 to Virginia and Brownie Smith in Dekalb, TX. At the age of 24 she had her first daughter, Kellie. She proceeded to have a fulfilling career as an insurance underwriter for fifteen years.

Linda met her husband, Lynn at the age of 45, and they went on to have many loving and beautiful adventures together. At 53, she welcomed her only granddaughter Jenny, and shortly after adopted her second daughter, Mikaela. She carried enormous pride for her children and grandchildren. Each one brought their own precious joy to her life.

The years Linda and Lynn shared together were nothing short of extraordinary times of loving companionship. She adored him with all of her heart and leaned heavily on his devotion to her in her last days.

Her passions included tending to her beautiful garden that brought her such delight and enjoying her koi fish pond. She looked forward to her trips to thrift stores and garage sales in search of hidden treasures. She loved hosting lavish Christmas parties in her one-of-a-kind pink Victorian home filled with antiques, angels, nativity scenes, and Christmas trees.

Upon her passing, she leaves behind Lynn, her beloved husband, daughter Kellie and husband Keith Hoehn, daughter Mikaela Cromer, granddaughter Jenny Hoehn, brother Doc Smith, and her Yorkie, Waylon, who was always her loyal companion.

Preceding her in death she joins her parents, Virginia and Brownie Smith, sister Elaine and Arvel Block, and grandson Ryan Hoehn.

Linda was a devoted Christian who brought love and laughter to everyone she met. For anyone who knew her, she was a strong woman who always spoke her mind and was there for whoever needed her no matter the situation.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Palmer.

A Celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Palmer with Rev. Gary Southard officiating. Pallbearers will be Johnny Dyer, Keith Hoehn, Jackson Turner, Dean Whortan, Billy Dyer and Alex Dyer. Interment will follow in Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
