Linda Jean Jones, 78, passed away in Waxahachie, Texas on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Linda was born in Ranger, Texas on December 6, 1944 to James Felton and Bernice Cleo (Langlitz) Hollaway.  She grew up in Abilene and graduated high school there.  On June 28, 1970 she married Paul (June) Willard Jones, Jr and they made their home first in Abilene, then Irving, and finally Ennis in 1983.  For much of her career she worked as a typesetter for the Dallas Morning News.  In her later years she worked as a hospital biller.

She is survived by her three children:  Jenet Peters, Jeff Jones, and Julie Wright and husband, Randall Wright; grandchildren:  Ashlee French and husband, Jeremy French, Amber Peters, Garrett Kelly and Sydney Kelly; four great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Willard Jones, Jr in 2008 and a grandson, Dylan Andrew Kelly in 1998.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2023, at 1:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 2:00pm in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
