Linda Massey, 69, of Alma, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer and other health challenges.

Linda was born on April 17, 1957, in Ennis, Texas, to Juanita Emmert and Louis McCallister. She grew up in Ennis, where she attended school and built lasting friendships. On May 6, 2003, she married Thomas Massey, and together they made their home in Alma.

Linda's Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life. She loved her church family and remained devoted to her faith, continuing to participate in services online when her health no longer allowed her to attend in person. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed crafting. Linda also had a love for animals, especially her beloved cat, Babycakes.

She is survived by her siblings, David and Carole; her nieces and nephews, Holly, Erik, Kristie, Michael, Gerald, Jacob, and Emily; and numerous extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Massey; her parents, Juanita Emmert and Louis McCallister; her brothers, Glen and Jerry; and her sister, Mary.
