Lisa Ann Ivers, 64, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Lisa was born on February 9, 1961, in Ennis, Texas, to William Edward and Geneva Maurine (Wickliffe) Matthews. Lisa grew up in Ennis, Texas and graduated from Ennis High School in 1979.

Lisa worked for Tropar Trophy as a supervisor for over forty-one years and as a bartender for American Legion for ten years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Lisa loved to dance and loved cats.

Lisa is survived by her son, Rick Ortiz and wife, Vanesa; daughter, Rachel Ortiz; grandchildren: Brendan Ortiz, Qua Chandler, Alyssa Ortiz and Isac Lopez; brothers: Eddie Matthews and wife, Laura and Arthur Matthews and wife, Lisa; her longtime companion, Gabriel Alvarez along with a host of extended family and friends.

Lisa is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Alan Matthews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from noon until 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Pallbearers will be Arthur Matthews, Mike Lowey, Clarence Kyser, Neal Bryd, Quentin Brown and Rudy Sanchez. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
