Marian Carolyn Wangler, age 81, passed away on November 18, 2024, in Rockwall, Texas. On February 14, 1943, she was born to Joseph Adolph and Anna Luksa Mikus in Chicago, Illinois. At age 5, Marian's family moved to Dallas, Texas, where she graduated from Our Lady of Good Council Catholic School. She met the love of her life, William Joseph Wangler, at the age of 15. They were married on August 26, 1961, at St. James Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. In 1964, they welcomed their first born, Michael Jerome, and in 1965, they welcomed Laura Ann. Marian and Bill enjoyed dancing the night away at the Sokol in Dallas, and other venues as well. Marian absolutely loved spending time with her friends at the lake, spending wonderful moments with her grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was preparing delicious meals for her friends and family.

Marian is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Joseph Wangler. Her son, Michael Jerome Wangler, her daughter, Laura Ann Trojacek and her husband, Benny Charles Trojacek; granddaughter, Jessica Lauren Trojacek; grandson, Christopher Willian Trojacek and his fiancée, Mariah Storey, granddaughter, Catelynn Victoria Trojacek and her great-granddaughter, Audrey Leigh Andrade; brother, Joseph Charles Mikus and wife, Gretchen along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Mikus, sister, Joan Mikus, sister, Josephine Wavrusa and her husband, John, nephew, James "Jimmy" Wavrusa, her husband's parents, George and Fay Wangler, sister-in-law, Annie Fay Wangler, sister-in-law, Vivian and her husband, Leo Cutaia, brother-in-law, George Wangler and wife, Betty and nephew, John Wangler.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., with the Rosary starting at 4:00 p.m. in J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis, Texas.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father Joseph A. Mehan, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

Serving as pallbearers are, grandson, Christopher Trojacek, nephew Jimmy Wangler, nephew, Paul Wangler, nephew, Joe Cutaia, nephew, Johnny Wavrusa, and great nephew, Jared Prachyl. Honorary pallbearers are, granddaughter, Jessica Trojacek, granddaughter, Catelynn Trojacek, great -granddaughter, Audrey Andrade, long-time friends, Don and Annita Kimbrel and Carol Utley, along with many nieces and nephews.

The family is very grateful for the outstanding care given by Broadmoor Medical Lodge in Rockwall, Texas.
