Marie A. Vrla, 90, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Thursday, October 1, 2020.

Marie was born in Ennis, Texas on June 17, 1930 to James and Annie (Hubacek) Kostak.  She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School.  In 1955 Marie married Frankie L. Vrla, Jr. and they made their home in Ennis.

Marie worked for Southwestern Bell as a clerk for thirty-five years.  She was a member of Sokol, SPJST, Ennis Sewing Circle, Catholic Daughters, Golden Crusaders and WFLA.

Marie is survived by her son, Frankie Vrla III and wife, Jill; brother, Joe Kostak and a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and sisters: Ann Zabojnik and Mildred Adamcik.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 4 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.  A dinner will follow the services at SOKOL Hall.
