Marion "Lee" Laurence-Barnes, 41, went home to meet her Lord and Savior with her loved ones by her side from Ennis, Texas on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Lee was born on January 10, 1983, in Ennis, Texas, to Billy Gene and Nancy Catherine (Roberts) Laurence, Jr. Lee grew up in Ennis, Texas and graduated from Ennis High School in 2001. Lee went on to attend Navarro College and Tarleton State University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2006. On September 1, 2019, she married Mike Barnes and they made their home in the Ennis area in Alsdorf.

Lee worked at a retirement center in Stephenville, a Christian bookstore and in Customer Service for Tele-Tech. Lee grew up in church and was a long-time member of Anthony Drive Baptist Church. Lee loved spending time with family and friends. One of her many talents was playing the guitar.

Lee is survived by her husband, Mike Barnes; her sister, Sara Renee McClelland and husband, Chris; nieces: Madison and husband, Grant and Trinity; nephew, Kris; aunts and uncles: James M. Roberts; Terry and Robert Curlee and John and Dusty Laurence along with a host of extended family and friends.

Lee is preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at The First Baptist Church in Rice on Saturday, September 28th at 2 p.m. Click here for directions .
