Marjorie Jo (Jodie) Early, 97, of Bardwell, TX, passed away on September 7, 2023.
Jodie was born on June 18, 1926, to J Bryan Lowry and Vera Irene Lowry in
Waxahachie, TX. She was the oldest girl of 7 children.
Jodie or Grandma Jo as she was fondly known, was the matriarch of the family. Her
love and devotion to her family was unparalleled. She had the gift of making everyone
who knew her believe that they were her favorite person in the world.
We know that Grandma Jo is enveloped by the love of her family that passed before her,
parents (J Bryan and Vera Irene Lowry), husband (Bill Early), and siblings (James,
Tobe, Calvin, Lit, and Bonnie). She is survived by her sibling (JB Lowry Jr), her two
daughters (Karen Norman and Kathy Saunders), Son-in-law (Phillip Norman),
Grandchildren (Erika, Billy, Yvonne, Yvette, and Dusty), Great Grandchildren (Phillip,
Chelsea, Zachary, Charli, and Taylor), and Great-Great Grandchildren (Maddy, Emery,
Rhys, Lealah and Rayla Jo), as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Visitation and viewing will be held at JE Keever Mortuary Hall, 408 N Dallas St, Ennis,
TX from 6 to 8 p.m on Thursday, September 14th. We will have a grave side service at
10:00 am, Friday, September 15th at Elm Branch Cemetery in Bardwell, TX.
The family would like to thank SpringLake Assisted Living staff, Paris Hospital staff and
Hospice teams for their compassionate care during Grandma Jo's stay in Paris, TX.
