A man of many hats, both literally and symbolically, Martin Felipe Charles passed away on March 17, 2024. Born on March 9,1963 in Crystal City, Texas.

He is survived by his three children, Matthew Gatica, Tabitha Cannon and Christian Charles, his daughter in law, Kelly Gatica and his son in law Matthew Cannon. He is survived by his siblings Rosa Marie Lopez, Juan Roberto Sepeda and Olga Alicia Lopez, and his grandchildren: Jaylen, Mason, Zayd, Charlie, Brixton and Casen. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Veronica Reyes Charles, his mother Elida Sepeda and his brother Julian Rodriguez, Jr.

Martin was passionate about his family and would do anything and everything for those he loved. To be loved by him was an honor. Some of his hobbies include traveling, fishing, woodworking, watching sports, classic cars, comedy shows, enjoying live music (especially Tejano and some blues), and even dancing. He absolutely loved his Dallas Cowboys no matter how much he yelled at them on Sundays. One of his more surprising hobbies that he talked avidly about was taking care of his plants. But his biggest hobby by far was supporting his children and grandchildren in their activities. If they had a sports event, you would find him in the stands cheering. If his children wanted something for their home, he built it. He loved them to the point of invention and will be greatly and deeply missed.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 21, 2024, 6-8 pm and the Funeral will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 10:00 am with burial to follow under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
