Mary Jo (Brock) Howard passed to her Heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in Ennis, Texas.

Mary was born on August 6, 1939 to J. W. and Frances Agnes (Barker) Brock in Bristol, TX.  On August 30, 1957, Mary married the love of her life, Eddie Howard.  They made their home in Bristol except for a short time in North Carolina while Eddie was in the Army.  She worked for many years as a bank clerk at Republic Bank/Bank of America in Dallas.

Mary was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Bristol Church of Christ.  She loved serving the children at VBS.  She wanted everyone to put God and family first, be kind and show forgiveness!  She was lovingly called "Ginggong" not only by her grandchildren, but also by other children in the family and many of the children of our friends.

Mary volunteered at the Bristol Cemetery Association's annual Thanksgiving fundraiser for many years.  She was also a member of Bristol Caring Hands and the Red Hat Society.  She and Eddie enjoyed vacationing with family and friends.  She loved animals, especially dogs.  She was known to give her canine companions just a little too much "people" food!  Watching the birds feed in her many bird feeders was a favorite pastime too.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Howard and, her parents J.W. and Frances Brock and brother-in-law James Davis.  She is survived by her son Ricky Howard (Tammy), daughter Pam Davidson (Kevin), granddaughters Heather Cooper (Adam), Payton Davidson (Trevor), grandson Justin Howard (Rachel), great grandchildren Maggie, Lane, Rivi, Harper, Colt, Stevie Jo, sister Martha Davis, nephew Greg Davis (D'Lynn), Niece Cherri Aday (Doug) and a many great nieces & nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bristol Church of Christ, Bristol, TX and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Brother Ronnie Lowe officiating. Pallbearers are Jimmy Spurgeon, Jimmy Whatley, Gary Threadgill, Brett Woodard, Brian Almand, Blaine Hunter, Kyle Lewis, Steve Mensik and Derrick Thompson. Intermen t in the Bristol Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

The family would like to thank Legend Oaks Ennis and Bristol Hospice for the love and care that was given to Mary.
