Mary Frances Jakubik, 93, passed away in Ennis, Texas, on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Mary was born in Ennis, Texas, on August 5, 1933, to Joe John and Annie V. (Palka) Jaska. Mary grew up in Ennis and attended school there. On April 26, 1952, Mary married Eugene Jakubik and they made their home in Bristol, Texas.

Mary worked for Fallen’s Electrical for several years as the office manager and for Ennis Furniture in manufacturing. Mary was a member of SPJST and VFW. Mary enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by a son, Larry Gene Jakubik and wife, Lisa; daughter, Kathy Valek and husband, Larry; grandchildren: Russell Jakubik, and wife, Meagen, Natalie Jakubik and Matthew Valek and wife, Ashley; great grandchildren: Travis Jakubik, Ian Jakubik, Peyton Valek and Deagen Valek; one sister, Margie Macalik and a host of extended family and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene Jakubik, brothers: Joelie, Wesley, Jaska, sisters: Julie Lanning, Annie Juricik, Bessie Johnson and Roselie Chapman.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. with Rosary at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Liturgy outside of Mass will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Deacon Don Campbell officiating. Pallbearers will be Matt Valek, Deagen Valek, Larry T. Valek, Tim Macalik, Russell Jakubik and Travis Jakubik. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
