Mary Delores Sosa 79, passed away peacefully where she resided at her daughter's house in Ennis Texas, surrounded by several loved ones on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

Mary was born in Boyce Texas April 29, 1946, to Charlie and Frances Pena. She grew up in the Ellis area, married by St. John Catholic Church, July 24, 1965, to Juan J. Sosa, moved back to Ennis in the early years of 1977, making it her permanent home. Mary worked as a seamstress and later found her passion when she started working for Quality Inn, making it her career for over several years. She loved how she was welcomed by the Ozymy family, who became family to her as well, before retiring due to illness.  Mary was a kind, loving soul and had a smile that would light up the room every time. Mary fought many battles of illness, which included two types of cancer and liver disease. Mary loved bingo and being surrounded by family. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, believed in the power of prayer and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior.

She is survived by her sisters Helen Cruz and husband Sergio, Sylvia Rodriguez and husband Cornelio, brothers Lee Pena and Moses Pena. Sons: Carlos Juan Sosa and wife Sonya, Thomas Sosa and wife Anna, Roman Sosa and wife Sylvia, Charlie Sosa and wife Leah. daughters: Rachel Sosa with David Acevedo, Melissa Sosa with Tony Ayala, Raquel Bravo and husband Richard. Mary leaves a legacy of love behind with over 31 grandchildren and over 69 great- grandchildren which she counted as blessings, she loved each as her own because family was everything to her.

She is preceded in death by her husband Juan J. Sosa, her parents Charlie/Frances Pena, sisters Gloria Hernandez. Lupe Gonzalez, brothers Charlie Pena, Ralph Pena. Grandson Thomas Christopher Sosa Jr, Mark Valentin Carillo Jr and Granddaugher Rachel Lynn Fraga.

Pallbearers: Carlos Sosa, Thomas Sosa, Roman Sosa, Charlie Sosa, C.J Sosa, and Alex Arciba.

VISITATION will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. with ROSARY at 4 in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.

MASS OF THE CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father John Dick as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
