Melody Ann Baker, 59, passed away in Waxahachie, TX on April 7, 2022.  Melody was born in Ennis, Texas on January 7, 1963 to Melvin and Rose Baker. She grew up in Ennis, TX and attended Ennis High School.

At the young age of 16, Melody received her beautician license. Melody enjoyed cutting hair and later went on to open her own successful beauty salon in Ennis, TX called Hollywood hair. In her spare time she played softball on an all-girls team she sponsored named after her salon.

When Melody was 39 years old she gave birth to her beautiful daughter Lexi who was the light of Melody's life. She loves spending time with Lexi and was very proud of her. She bragged about her whenever she got the chance. Later in life Melody moved to Waxahachie, Texas where she took over as caregiver for her elderly father.

Melody loved spending time with her family and friends ,  browsing estate sales in her free time and was an avid collector of all things Marilyn Monroe.

Melody was  a member of Recovery Road and she was very proud of her sobriety. She talked about it often. Melody was strong in her faith and an active member of the Cowboy Church. Melody will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Melody is survived by her daughter, Alexis (Lexi) Baker Tims,  father, Melvin Baker and mother, Rose Baker. Siblings : Carol Baker,  Melvin Baker Junior,  Robert Baker,  Connie King and Chris Baker as well as numerous nieces and nephews along with the host of extended family and friends.

Melody is preceded in death by her grandparents, Emil and Agnes Pekar; Aunts, Marcy Rankin and Jan Carter as well as her uncle Lynn Carter and cousin Kathy Lynn Turner.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at the Cowboy Church of Ellis County in Waxahachie, Texas.
