Michael Charles Duncan is no longer in pain, and has gone to his forever resting place. He passed away at home, on September 26, 2020, in Ennis, Tx. His wife Darlene was blessed to be able to be with him in his last moments, as he made his transition..

Michael was born on May 3, 1963 in Oxnard California to parents Robert Duncan and Karen (Heldt) Green.  Myk grew up in southern California. Then moved to Arizona and eventually made his way to Texas where he followed in his grandfather's footsteps and became a Ford mechanic.  On October 27, 1990, he married Darlene Duncan, and became a wonderful father to her two children.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Green, his wife of 30 years, Darlene Duncan, his daughter Valasta Smith and her husband Jeremy, his son, James Kimbell, of North Carolina. He was known as "Big Daddy" by his grandkids. Greg Smith, Ashley Smith, Jace Jones, Holden Smith, Hadlyn Smith, and Hunter Wright. Sister Alesa Hood and her husband Nathan. Brother in law James Quattlebaum of Brownsboro, Texas,Val Ray Quattlebaun and wife Judy, Tyler, Malcolm Quattlebaum and his wife TIna, Athens and sister in law Reba Henson, Athens, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends he considered family.  He is preceded in death by his father Robert Duncan.  One of Myk's favorite sayings was "Blood doesn't make you family," and his life reflected this saying, made evident by the way he loved others.

Myk battled health issues for many years, but he never let it slow him down, especially in his pursuit of his biggest passion, racing slot cars. He loved racing in any form or fashion, and made friends from many countries because of his involvement in the racing circuits.  He even held a position on a pit crew for a short while.

Viewing will be held Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm at J. E. Keevers in Ennis, Texas. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
