Michael Paul Stonewall, 64, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, May 4, 2024. He was born in Marshalltown, IA: the son of Shirley Oswald (Ozzie) Stonewall and Helen Louise Stonewall (Duffy). Michael married Lisa (Beazel) Stonewall on August 10, 1995, in Dallas, Texas. He worked as a diesel mechanic until December 2021 where he had rented the back shop in Hutchins, Texas, where he met his future wife, Lisa. Together the two had five children. He enjoyed sitting outside from sunup to sun down listening to music and embracing the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and APA pool player for the last nine years. The seven grandchildren (Dylan, Daniel, Cayden, Brandon, Elizabeth, Murphy, and Benjamin) were his pride and joy until his last moment. He prided himself as a family man, making them his priority alongside his closest friends. He was a member of the Ennis American Legion Auxiliary and Ennis VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Stonewall; a son, Nathan Beazel; three daughters, Sydnie and Amber Stonewall, Tracey Lowry; two sisters Kathleen McFadden and Patricia Grady; a brother, Jeffery Stonewall; nieces (Jackie and Rasalyn) and nephews (Benjamin and Brett); sons-in-law (Joe, William, and Jared). He is preceded in death by both his parents, Ozzie and Helen Stonewall, a daughter, Amanda Beazel, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Viewing will be held at the J.E. Keever Mortuary Funeral Home in Ennis, TX on Thursday, May 9th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Funeral proceedings will take place May 11th starting at 2 pm.

Following the funeral, the Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Affairs Post 7106 in Ennis, TX will host the reception for family and friends.
