In Loving Memory of Michael Reid Venable

October 24, 1961 - April 10, 2024

Michael Reid Venable, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 62. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and many cherished memories.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Magan and Katy Venable, and their mother, Judy Sawyer. He is also survived by his mother, Kaylyn Venable, and her husband, Jerry Smith. Mike will be deeply missed by his siblings: Patrick Venable and his wife, Delynda, Jason Venable and his wife, Jennifer, and sister Raymie Venable and her wife, Alleigh.

He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Amanda, Jeremy, Jackson, Tucker, Jett, Turner, Christian, Grant, Caspian, and Emily. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Venable, and his paternal grandparents, JT and Edith Venable, and maternal grandparents, Raymond and Allene Christian.

Mike found enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life, particularly his love for hunting and fishing. He loved spending time outdoors and surrounded by his closest friends. Mike retired after a fulfilling career with the Texas Motorplex and Ennis Business Forms, to continue to enjoy more time doing the activities he loved the most.

A visitation will be held to honor Mike's life on Monday, April 15th, from 6PM to 8PM at Keever Funeral Home, 408 N. Dallas Street in Ennis, Texas.

Michael's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to bring comfort and warmth to those who loved him.
