Michiko S. Smith, 88, passed away in Mesquite, Texas on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

Michiko was born in Naha, Okinawa, Japan, on October 31, 1934, to Haruo and Natsu Shimabukuro. Michiko was raised by her grandmother. A She moved to the United States where she had hoped to attend college, but due to unforeseen circumstances, she was not able to do so.

Michiko was the owner of a restaurant which was a great accomplishment.

Michiko is survived by daughter, Judith Fagan; step-daughter, Debbie Gossett and family; step-son, George Smith and family; extended family and friends.
