Mildred Holy Dlabaj, 89, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Ennis, Texas.

Mildred was born in Creechville, Texas, on October 6, 1934, to Frank L. and Philomena (Svehlak) Holy. Mildred grew up in the Creechville Community and graduated from St. John High School in 1951. On December 30, 1952, Mildred married Albin "Champ" Dlabaj.  They made their home in Ennis, and later they moved to Garrett in 1974.

Mildred worked for over forty years as a manager for Ennis Business Forms. Mildred was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, KJZT, KJT, American Legion Auxiliary, Ladies Auxiliary of VFW and The Chosen Few where she was a Legacy Member. Mildred loved spending time with her family, sewing and quilting.

Mildred is survived by her Children: Susan Wunderlich, and her partner, Dr. Phillip Campbell, Peggy Spurgeon, Steven Dlabaj and his wife, Connie and Timmy Dlabaj and his wife, Michelle; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Dlabaj; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; siblings: Evelyn Prachyl, Syl Holy and Dennis Holy; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Holy, Elsie Rackley and husband, George along with a host of extended family and friends.

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albin "Champ" Dlabaj, son, Michael Dlabaj and son-in-law, Larry Spurgeon.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father Fred Caldwell as celebrant. The pallbearers will be Michael "Clay" Wunderlich, Nicholas Spurgeon, Nathan Dlabaj, Tyler Spurgeon, Parker Albin Dlabaj and Braden Dlabaj. Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Childress, Dwayne Young, John Cox, Hunter Hollis, Jackson Wunderlich, Corbett Spurgeon and Branden Childress. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
