Mrs. Nancy Kay (Shaw) Blackburn, died, Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Legacy West Alzheimer's wing in Corsicana, Texas.

Nancy was born July 24, 1948, in Ennis, Texas as a twin with Linda Knott to Charles O. and Charlsey (Branam) Shaw. She was raised in Ennis, Texas, where she graduated Ennis High School in 1967.

At the age of 19, she started working at Lone Star Gas Company where she eventually met and married Ney Blackburn on September 1, 1977. They made their home in Ennis, Texas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she worshipped and loved the Lord. She retired from Atmos Energy after 44 years in the energy field.

During the years, she enjoyed watching her daughter, Angie play basketball at Ennis High School and later at Mary Hardin-Baylor, she was so proud of her. "Nanny" loved her grandchildren: Jordan and Makenze and great-grandchildren. They spent time with Nanny in the pool, camping at Galveston, going to the lake/river. Her favorite time was traveling with Ney, shopping at Sam Moons and spending time with Family and good friends.

She is survived by her husband, Ney A. Blackburn; daughter, Angela Krajca and family; stepdaughter, Kimberly Nowell and husband, Kevin; grandchildren: Jordan Jameson and family, Makenzie Whitehead and husband, Bailey; great-grandchildren: Tenzlee and Reagan: sister, Linda "Bobo" Knott; sister-in-law, Jill Shaw; nieces and nephews: Dana Horne, Jennifer Haden, John Knott, III and Jennette Knott.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Charles "Pud" Shaw and Claudie "Jig" Shaw.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 10 a.m. with Rev. James Patterson officiating. Pallbearers will be Darren Waller, Regan Hampton, Jordan Jameson, Eddy Haden, Donald Horne and John Knott, III. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
