Olga San Miguel Gobea, 84, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in Ennis, Texas.

Olga was born on November 10, 1941, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Ramon and Rita (Garcia) San Miguel. Olga grew up in Ennis and attended school here. In 1960 she married Joe Vasques and they made their home in Ennis.

Olga spent over twenty years taking care of children and giving them her love and attention. Olga loved and enjoyed spending time with family and taking care of children.

Olga is survived by one son, David Vasquez, one daughter, Sylvia Reyna; six grandchildren: Jimmy Reyna, Jason Reyna, Samantha Reyna, David Vasquez, Jessie Vasquez and John Vasquez; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Mac Galvin; one sister, Mary Lou Martinez and a host of extended family and friends.

Olga is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Eloy Galvin and sister Norma Brojas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday October 13, 2026, at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
