Patricia Josephine Odlozil, 79, departed this earthly life to join her heavenly father on Saturday, October 17, 2020.

Patsy was born on March 15, 1941 to Joseph Edward Slovak and Janie Anna (Nekuza) Slovak. She grew up on a cotton farm in Bardwell. There she attended Bardwell School and graduated from St. John School in Ennis, TX. On February 13th of 1960, Patsy married the love of her life, Wesley Louis Odlozil. They were married for 40 wonderful years until he preceded her in death on August 27, 2000.

Patsy worked for 23 years at Western Union in Dallas with the accounting group. She then went to work for Ennis Ribbon Co. This allowed her to work at home, while simultaneously having the blessing to spoil her 4 precious grandchildren. Making memories with her grandchildren was her greatest endeavor. In the latter, she worked for Ennis Furniture. There she was able to work with her lifelong best friend, Sandra. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the KJZT No. 16 Assumption.

Favorite past times involved crafting, crocheting, dominoes and organizing. Most days you could find her captivated in a good book or solving a challenging crossword puzzle. Other adventures included day trips to Canton or enjoying her husband's many horseshoe adventures. Above all, her greatest passion was making memories with her darling grandchildren and then later, with her most cherished great-grandchildren.

Patsy is survived by her son, Wesley Odlozil Jr., and wife Mary; her daughter, Anna Maria, and husband Larry Gunn. Grandchildren whom she loved dearly, April and husband David, Nicole, Brooke and husband Justin, and Nathan. She had 9 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kaden, Jace, Amerie, Ryder, Gaston, Jameson, Owen and September. She is also survived by three sisters, Mary Jane Odlozil, Anna Lee Toth and Joyce Slovak, along with one brother, Robert L. Slovak. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, her parents and 2 brothers-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 6 pm followed by the reciting of the holy rosary at 7 pm in the J.E. Keever Chapel of Ennis. Catholic liturgy outside of Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, October 23, 2020 in the J.E. Keever Chapel of Ennis with Father Fred Caldwell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the KJZT No.16 Assumption or Helping Hands of Ennis.
