Patsy Ruth Dixon, 83, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Thursday, September 30, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.

Patsy was born in Avalon, Texas on October 21, 1937, to Floyd and Viola Maude (DeFore) Southard.  She grew up in Avalon and attended school there.  On November 5, 1955, she married Tommy Edward Dixon and they made their home in Ennis.

Patsy was a beloved counselor for Weight Watchers for nine years.  Patsy was a very talented baker, loved making deserts and special treats for family and others.  She loved spending time with family and helping raise her grandchildren.

Patsy is survived by sons: Lynn Dixon and wife, Connie and Jamie Dixon and husband, Alfredo; daughter, Vickie Krajca and husband, Lawrence; grandchildren: Jarod, Matthew, Nicholas and Justena; six great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Otto Southard; sisters: Maxine Henly and Janice Taylor along with a host of extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tommy Edward Dixon, sons: Wayne and Curtiss, grandson, Joshua, and brothers: Floyd Southard, Jr., and Gerald Southard.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with David Bibel officiating.  Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

The family would like to thank the Bristol Hospice Service for the love and compassion they gave to Patsy during her final days.
