Patsy Sue Hammonds Knott, aged 77, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 12:15am.  Patsy was surrounded by her family and friends who were with her during her recent journey.

Patsy was born in Ennis, TX on August 23, 1946, to Louis Minis Hammonds and Lillie Mae Vick Estes.   A few years after her birth, her stepfather and the man she made sure we knew as her Dad entered her life, Reuben Odell Estes.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Lillie Mae Estes, Reuben Estes, and her paternal father, Louis Minus Hammonds.  Also preceding in death were siblings Sisters: Mary Elizabeth Hammonds,  Vivian Glenda Hammonds Parker, Brother: Lewis Henry Hammonds and his wife Sumiko Katakura Hammonds, and Brother in Law: Ronnie Roberts.

Patsy is survived by Sons: John Curtis (Jamie) Knott and Ronald Lynn (Beth) Knott; Grandchildren: Devon C. and Emma J. Knott, Madison Fanning and Andrew Thomas Duke; Sisters: Rebecca Estes Roberts and Senie Rosetta Estes;  Nieces: Rita Margai, Kimberly Parker, Katelyn Estes, Teresa Estes, Ashley Estes and Addison Estes; Nephews: Ryan O'Neal Estes, Brian Keith Watkins, Nick Jensen; and many other relatives and friends.

Patsy retired from Baylor Hospital after 28 years of service – working at Ennis, Waxahachie and Plano Hospitals, leaving many friends and patients with fond memories of her.   She loved to travel and go antiquing with her sisters and grandkids.

Patsy was a member of the Baylor Baptist Church in Ennis.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the Rice Cemetery with Rev. John Price officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
