Paul Ray Davis, 75, passed away in Denton, Texas on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Paul was born in Waxahachie, Texas, on October 18, 1948, to Willie Lee and Jean (Colquitt) Davis. Paul grew up in Ferris and graduated from Ferris High School in 1967. He went on to attend Cedar Hill College in Dallas. Paul lived in Ferris all his life and enjoyed his small town.

Paul was a rancher and farmer. As most who do that know, it is something he enjoyed, spending time outdoors with nature. He also owned a gravel truck business and did short haul trucking. Paul was a member of First Baptist Church of Ferris. Paul enjoyed fishing, and family was a joy of his life.

Paul is survived by daughters: Traci Rodriguez, Charity Mullican and Amanda Hartley; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters: Carol Anders and husband, Dave Bennett and Shirley Chapman and husband, Jerry.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 10 a.m. in Ferris Memorial Park North with Rev. James Smith officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
